One that always gets me is "one wing in the fire" by trent tomlinson. Its a really good song. I do like Alyssa Lies too but I can't listen to it. It's just too sad.

"forsaken" by vnv nation (the non-vocal version on 'Praise the Fallen'-- wow, the music is soooo beautiful-- tear-jerker every time! ESPECIALLY when it was done live w/out lyrics.)
they've since released versions of it WITH lyrics which are also pretty thought-provoking and sad.
