Stop pumping them full of anti-depressant drugs that knowingly cause suicidal tendencies.
Anyone who is prescribed these drugs should immediately have their privilege to buy a gun revoked.

You can't do much more to prevent them. This guy had a right to go to school just as the rest of us do that have NO criminal background. He did not want help so it could not be forced upon him by anyone.

Stop selling guns to civilians. Its that simple.
And react earlier. If a kid is so disturbed that his teacher refuses to have him in the class, then it must be pretty bad. Refer to counselling and hospitalize if necessary.

As long as any maniac with some cash in his pocket and no criminal record can walk into a hardware or sporting goods store and buy himself a trunkload of weapons, none of us are safe. It's all monumentally stupid.

You are trying to make logic out of an illogical situation.
There is a purpose for everything. Those killed where killed by their own divine plan just as the assailant did what was already decided upon.
The reason is for others to understand who they are in relationship to that event.
When these random events happen, is it not true that we value our lives & the lives of others more. Do we not rally together in support & love. It is these happenings that define us as humans because we understand who we are & what we are capable of.

The reason is because no one had said anything about the signs. They might have seen them, but no one ever acted. The girls he stalked, did not press charges so there was no record of criminal activity for him.

Yes, it could have been prevented and hopefully lessons will be learned from this incident to prevent similar instances in the future.

that would require some sort of flag that would be put on his social security number, which would be an infringement of his privacy... unfortunately unless someone has committed a felony offense there's no way to stop them
