It's not possible to answer this question without knowing the action or inaction. But I guess the worst thing you could do (murder) would be worse than any inaction so I'd rather not do something I should have done than do something awful.

I'd rather be sorry for something that I did, because then at least I will know that I tried. To be sorry for something I didn't do would indicate to me, that I failed to even attempt to take action.

I'd rather be sorry for something i did because i did it. And if i have to be sorry for something i didn't do, why should i have to be sorry for something i never did?

I say sorry just to make other people feel better otherwise I dont do something I would be sorry about. I always stick to my decisions wether they were made in an instance or not.

Something I didnt do. If I failed to do something that I had an oppurtunity to do and negative consequences arose I would feel more remorseful for taking no action than I would if I had taken improper action and still had negative outcome.
