I have been seeing a Pain Management Doctor for 6 years now and he has tried basically everything to help make my pain easier to manage. He started out with nerve blocks which are done in an outpatient facility and they do put you to sleep for them. I've also had epidurels, nerve burnings, physical therapy , tens unit therapy and drug therapy. It really depends on the individual and their particular problem with pain and what causes it. My problems are my back, legs and feet. I also get trigger point injections about every 3 months in the most severe places. They are all about helping you to learn to live with your pain and manage it the best way possible.
