Go to the store and get some Maxi pads

It's okay, but be aware that it won't last you very long. In other words, depending on how heavy your flow is, it could leak through that relatively quickly. I would try to get a pad as soon as you can; you could ask a friend, or if you're in a school environment, they may supply them in your washrooms.

Congrats! ...sort of. Periods really aren't that great, LOL. If you go to the store to buy some pads (which I would advise), you should probably pick up some Aspirin or Midol while you're there, to help you with cramps. Periods aren't the most comfortable things in the world.

I'm sure you'll be fine! :)

If thats all you have for the the time being, its ok, but you cannot use it for very long or you will ruin your pants.

Please have someone take you to your local Walmart or drugstore and pick up some pads. The most comfortable ones (in my opinion) are made by Always.

While you're there, pick up something that will help you with cramps such as Midol or Pamprin or even Tylenol.

Good luck! You're a little woman now! :)

If you get caught without anything at the start, sure. A folded paper towel, some toilet paper folded up, facial tissue--just something to hold you until you get to the store for real napkins or tampons.

Do NOT roll your own tampons--that's extremely dangerous.

Just get something absorbent into your panties until you can get to the store.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!
Second, a paper towel won't work. It only acts as a subsitute for about 10 minutes until you can get a pad ((as I found out a while ago)). Hope this helps xXx

you really should get a pad (not a tampoon at first...ask your mom about it). If you only have paper towels near by that is fine for now, or even a wash cloth (make sure you wash/bleach it afterwards).....but talk to a female adult and get a pad....they are disposable and more sanatary and absorbe more!

That works in a pinch, but you're better off to get some pads or liners with adhesive as soon as you can. The folded up paper towle will move when you walk, and (sorry to be gross, but...) you'll get stains in your panties. Rinse them out with cold water ASAP, and you might save them.

as a last resort yes. so until you gets the guts to go buy some pads it'll work - it gets uncomfortable though...better to get your nerves up and head over to the pharmacy. pads are much better.
my first time I was too embarrashed to ask my mom....but seeing as paper towel will move around you will likely get a tiny stain and well my mom found it...and then well she got us to go buy pads. easy as pie. if you live with your dad ask him for money...he'll say for what?....just say it's a girly problem...he'll get it - he might think it's make up....but whatever.

You can use it as long as you run to the store and get some pads now.

It should only be a temporary fix.

if that's all you have, but it will fall out of your panties and embarass you. if you are at school, ask the gym teacher(if female) or another female teacher for help. If at home go tell your mom. Its no big deal. every female goes through it. We all understand totally.
