If you're getting your period, then it was not the Depo shot. Depo prevents ovulation, so if you're getting your period regularly, you're ovulating.

There is possibly something blocking your fallopian tubes (the #2 cause for infertility in women, actually), so you should see a doctor and get a referral to an infertility specialist so that you can get some tests done and discuss your next steps.

Depo is the devil!!!!! I would never wish that on anyone. My body is still screwed up. It hasn't been three years for me, but I hear all kinds of horror stories with depo, a lot more than and other BC. I would talk to a fertility specialist to see if they can help you along. I think the norm, that I have read is 6 mos. to about a year and a half. But who knows. No one knows why it varies so much amongst the norm, what's saying it's not effecting you still?

I think it's something more. I was on the depo shot and I conceived 6 months later. Granted, I lost that one and the one that followed, but I now have healthy twins. Go to the dr and get checked. Good luck!

I know some women who had to go to fertility specialists in order to get pregnant after being on Depo Provera for any amount of time. I also know some who got pregnant ON the depo shot.

I would not be surprised if it was because of the Depo shot.
