Definitely a leader. I'm very gregarious and use humor to get people to follow my suggestions or lead. People seem to gravitate toward me and listen to what I have to say.

Part of leadership is letting others think they are leading when in fact they are just responding to your suggestions and cues.

When a leader, or person of power, delegates some task to a subordinate, such as organizing something and told to enlist the help of others, that implies the subordinate also has some power and is trusted by the leader to carry out the task.

As that filters down, if every person feels they have had input into the final project, it gives the leader even more credibility AND provides feelings of empowerment to his/her underlings.

People need to trust their leaders and being given responsibility makes that happen.

A leader also has to be sensitive to the needs of those who follow. If not, and the leader turns into a dictator, anarchy will be the result.

More a leader than follower. If you have people depending on you, you can`t afford NOT to lead
