Either a terrorist . . . or the victim of a terrorist attack?

Seems inevitable, according to the fearful rhetoric being hosed around by the media and politicians.

The truth is that the world is much less safe than we usually think. 9/11 taught us that we are not invunerable no matter how rich and powerful we are. The problem arises when the media or political parties use this truth to acomplise thier goals. Both parties are guilty of this as is the media. The world is dangerous, always has been, vigalence is important, but it is the individual who chooses whether to live in terror or to not be affected by all the "doom and gloom" we hear today.

Well, in America we've already been divided into two categories: Racists, and Victims of Racism. That took about 40 years - from the birth of the civil rights movement in the early 50s, to the dominance of political correctnes in the early 90s.

So the dividsion you're postulating might take another 33 years or so to complete.

You are conditioned by the American media to think in extreme terms. The reality is that this is a moderate country, a peace loving country and we are all still our brother's keeper. You sound crazy and paranoid.

Dont be a victim, and dont be afraid. You need not act, or react unless your in immediate danger. Be aware, no need to fear !
