I have to write a short story written in the style of realism. I don't know exactly what that means so some examples of realism would be helpful along with some links w/ examples.

Realism...it is where it is a believable story. It's doesn't have to be true, but it has to be concievably accurate to real life.
Nothing should be over-dramatic or over-romanticised.
Realism stories are usually very bland compared to other fiction, because they are like life, and people read books for a story, not for life, they can live that.
It needs to be gritty, and real, in-depth as to how people ACTUALLY act, think, feel, and percieve others.

Realism is a tendency to face facts and be practical. The picturing in arts and literature of people and things as they really appear to be.
A person or thing that is real; fact.
I know you have heard the policeman saying, "Just the facts Mam."
Practical is knowledge to useful ends.
The Truth is you can ask 4 people the same question and receive 4 different answers every time. What is real to one person is not necessarily real to another person. For example the Atheist and the Christian do not always recognize the same thing as fact. Realism has many factors to it. Family background, culture and religion are biggies.
Write about your school. The facts of the school are its name and location. Now - that is all you get - get to writing.
