i espacially want to know about more art/theatrical activities ,and sports activites.

There is the Crawfish Festival in Old Town Spring this weekend. There is also the International Festival that celebrates China this year. Then there's always baseball, basketball, football (in sept) and now soccer. I've included some links that might be helpful to you.

there is always something going on. try looking the art museum district in downtown houston. there always having exhibits going on year round. also there is the crawfish festival, the houston livestock show and rodeo, montgomery county fair, and so on.

check out miller outdoor theater. they usually have a lot of theater type stuff all summer and part of the fall...and it's free!
