Oh yes, but they will never admit it so you won't see it on TV anytime soon. They try and put it on the parents, that way they can be as irresponsible as possible and keep a clear conscience.

The media does have a certain amount of responsibility in terms of the messages that they send to people, but everyone needs to stop taking the easy way out and blaming the media for every problem that they have. Parents need to be more involved in their children and educate them and take an interest in their lives and adults need to grow up and take responsibility for their own actions.

Yeah that is 100% correct in some aspects. I do believe most of our problems now days do occur b/c of tv & entertainment in general. Examples include eating disorders, drinking, smoking, & many others. But entertaiment has its good aspects as well. For instance there are good tv shows & music that give teens good messages.

actually you will fine that a country with strong religious and family values will hold together in the worst of times. Once we allowed the ACLU to rule the laws, then we weaken till doomsday.

I don't worry about it because the media is a juggernaut that no one will ever stop. The First Amendment guarantees this (unless some idiot in D.C. tries to repeal it!)

i have always been of the opinion that if you kill yourself or others because a song or movie told you to, you already had issues that needed to be dealt with. more importantly, parents should be monitoring what their children are watching and letting them know that they are worth something. not letting movies, television, or music do the parenting for them.

No, it doesn't people need to be mature enough to draw a thick line between fantasy and reality, so I don't think this is neither the cause nor the symptom
