Oh really, Hitler was a liberal? He burned books, killed his opponents, declared himself dictator, and killed millions because he didn't think they were as "pure" as he was. I'm a liberal, and frankly, that doesn't sound like freedom of speech, democracy, or the sense of equality among all people that I think liberalism stands for.

Yes, liberals want to restrict your rights...
Like telling you if you can or can't get an abortion, or who you're allowed to marry, or spying on you, or saying that if the U.S. was a Dictatorship, it'd be a lot easier to run, and that the Constitution is a godd@mned piece of paper? Is that what you mean?
Coming from a (I'm guessing) conservative, that's the funniest thing I've ever read. Because many liberals support stricter gun laws, that means they want to control 'everything' about your life?! They just interpret the Constitution differently... Nice logic.

As opposed to abolishing the rights all together, as the Conservatives like to do?
I think it is a human reaction to want to tighten up things to make it harder for something to happen again. Truth be told, the criminals don't obey the laws anyways, so tighter laws will only hurt those that follow them. I think we need to look at what should be defined as "personal protection", "recreational", "sporting" and plain old "murder evidence". I think that weapons that have a sole purpose of killing other humans need to seriously be restricted, with the ability to obtain them tougher than regular "defense" and "sporting" guns. I am sure that serious collectors won't mind a bit of inconvenience to obtain something. Most collectors go through a lot to get items for their collection anyways, right?

Always a pleasure to be stuffed into a little box in someone elses mind. (Please note the sarcasm.) I consider myself to be a liberal. That doesn't mean that I think or feel precisely the same way as any other liberal or that it's all I am. Is G.W. Bush a liberal? After 9/11 he didn't waste much time overturning our Constitutional rights.

The college was a gun free zone.Fish in a barrel. Just maybe if there was one person with a concealed weapons permit there, they could have taken him out. No amount of gun control can stop a deranged individual from obtaining one. Just like boarder control.

Some liberals - not all.
I think there are people on both sides who would like to see guns banned. They try to use incidents like the one at VA Tech to further their cause.

The liberals won't be happy until we become The United Communist States of America and that will NEVER happen. There are too many true Americans. We will stop you.
