Ok. Maybe we ought to do something with that 'birthright' of ours, before we lose ALL our constitutional freedoms.

The USA is best right now, but I think our biggest trial since the Brits came over is not far off. Bush has ruined any remaining tolerance for us pushing our beliefs on other nations. He has ruined us as an education leading country with his No Child Left Behind crap. Our dependence on foreign oil WILL cause us to be in jeopardy of losing our title. What can we do simply? Charge less for Supreme gas than regular unleaded. US grown corn is the major difference between the grades of fuels, so it would highly decrease how much foreign oil we need AND increase the amount of corn and other US industries needed. It's a win-win, why am I alone on this?

You are obviously in doubt as to who you are. You are liberal who doesn't want to fall into the category of those who are blame America first. Yet your questions and comments fit that bill. You are like a homosexual who is still in the closet. You want to fully hate America but are scared of the backlash.
That is what will kill the Dems this next election. Too much confusion and lobbyists to make everyone happy on the left. Meanwhile Republicans will be regathered and collective by the time the next vote comes around. Remember one thing. No one will be running against Bush this next time, yet every liberal talking point blasts the man and they see that as the road to glory.

Yes, The USA is the best place to live if you enjoy your freedom and being responsible for yourself. If you prefer having the Government take care of you then any of those socialist countries in Europe will be the place for you.

This is the best country in the world. It is why most people in the world (before Bush go in) would do anything to become Americans. It is sad that Bush has made us a political pariah in the world with his stupidity.
And to you Dumb Soldier (good name, at least you got that right) there is no such thing as a fascist liberal, fascists are right-wingers.

We are the greatest country in the world... Other countries are just jealous and therefore mock us.
where would we be without the U.S.A and where would the world be?

I think conservatives all agree the United States is the best. Thats kind of the point of conservatism.
Without a doubt, its what makes a decision by our gov't to go to war, morally superior to another nation dictatorially deciding the same thing. And a democracy imposing a democracy on people is morally superior to a dictatorship imposing a dictatorship.
Truly what makes us best is:
Freedom of the press,
Freedom of dissent
Freedom from religious persecution.
My hope is someday China will adopt those three basic freedoms.
As for Bush, anything he has done that might be interpreted as limiting rights of our citizens, it is historicall insignificant to say FDR during WWII. In fact I think the rights afforded to those in Guantanamo Bay seem to go a little too far, at least in cases where it is clear the people took arms against our gov't.. Again----thats what truly makes us great.
PS: What other country has a web page where you can speak your mind like this. Not China, Not Russia.

The USA is best because of Bush and his "attempts."
Name one time that he has sought to, or has in fact denied anyone's First Amendment rights.
