as for dawn and all of you who think im not able to talk to him about it. thats not that problem that im facing. he knows what i want. and im not scared to tell him, or talk to him about it. i just dont want to see like im TELLING him what to get me. and i dont really want TO KNOW! what im getting. i want this whole thing to be a suprise. and i want him to do it on his own. i dont want to be in control of this situation! so i dont want it to seem that its not gona work with us, or even that im a god digger. i honestly dont want a 9 thousand dollar ring on my finger, nor is it the reason im marrying this man. im doing it because i love him. and iwant to spend the rest of my life with him. but if your gona get a ring, get the one you want right?

Um....look, if you don't know how to talk to the Man You Are Going To Marry about something as small as a ring, then maybe you should re-think your wedding idea. Hints don't work when it comes to marriage-- direct communication does!

When I found the ring I wanted I let my husband know that this was "the one". You have to live with this ring for a long time and you want to love it. If you want to hint just sit him down and ask that both of you look on line together and just "happen" to cross the page and tell him how much you love it and keep on hinting that that's the one you LOVE!

There's nothing wrong with forwarding him this link. Tell him this is the one you really like. If you guys are getting engaged, you should be able to communicate with him about such things.
My husband and I went out and picked out my ring together after we decided to get married. I knew he would not have had the slightest clue what to look for - so I just picked one out for myself. It doesn't make it any less special.

I agree with Violet. Why is it that you are clueless as to how to talk to the man you're supposed to be marrying? If you are this distraught over how to talk with him on a ring, I hate to imagine what it will be like for you to deal with the truly important things in life. Grow up!

I'll never understand the high costs and desire for diamonds & gold.....
My engagement ring was a ''hand me down'' from my husband's mother.
It is more cherished than anything he would've wasted hundreds of dollars on....
It's the meaning behind the ring that matters most.....

When i saw the ring i liked, my conversation with my partner went something like;
'Its perfect! i want it i want it i want it i want it i want it i want it!'
He got the idea ( how could he possibly miss it), and he has got the reference number so he can order me the exact one i want when the time comes and he is ready!
You gotta get straight to the point, and tell him exactly what you want. That way he cant get it wrong, you know how bad men are at taking hints! lol

FIRST and ONLY rule of marrige.....COMMUNICATION!!! If you are in love with this ring, tell him. If it is more money than you can spend then figure out a different plan TOGETHER.
