Fox news had something about one of his aunt's calling him an Idiot. Besides that I haven't seen or heard anything else.

The parents are in a secluded location. There were rumors that the dad committed suicide and the mother tried to od on drugs after hearing this, but thats doesnt seem to be true. I think they need to be watched carefully cause I would not be surprised if they do commit suicide because of this. One thing should be made clear though, Cho is a 23 year old man. This is not colombine where the students were under 18 years old and thus still a minor. Yes cho was a student, but to a certain degree cho was a grown up adult.

I agree. I was worried for them from the moment I heard about this. Worried he may have killed them first.
It is just an assumption to state they are off in some corner grieving. Though I am sure they are troubled. Maybe their son was a nightmare for them too? Maybe they are in a sense, relieved that he's gone, but of course not that he took so many with him?
Maybe they were responsible for some "abuse" that led him to write the horrific scripts in writing class?
If my child had done this, I would probably go into hiding, but I would have had a spokesperson for the family come out and say **something** by now.
Bottom line: Until we have a statement from them or hear from them directly, I wish people would stop speaking for them.

if that is real the mothers and fathers tried to dedicate suicide.. that's the worst ingredient i could desire to ever hear. they have yet another daughter. how can they selfishly do this, understanding that their daughter would be on my own and puzzled and horrendously disenchanted besides?? is she meant to dedicate suicide to dodge feeling "ashamed"? i think of this may well be a difficulty w/ korean custom.. and that i will say this because of the fact i'm korean. our custom is geared up on a shame foundation.... not on top or incorrect foundation. that being pronounced, as long as u shop issues to urself and do ur activity, u can get away w/ something. i think of that's why this baby stored getting by potential of, being socially Inept, without being inspired to make acquaintances. i heavily think of, 10-a million, that they probably placed him down for changing from enterprise to english important. they probably pronounced that he grew to become into stupid, not as smart as his sister, yadayadayada, there are actually not any jobs in english.... so it did not count that he had no acquaintances. it didnt' count that he grew to become into unusual, or not socially lively, or talkative in college. the only ingredient that mattered grew to become into being or doing issues to be "Proud" of. i don't understand what befell w/ him, im basically speculating. yet once you prepare a baby's particular character and placed them in an enviroment that encourages/suppresses particular issues, you're gonna get a puzzled baby.. ESP if the baby is already awkward, shy, scared, etc etc. there are a number of little ones available that push out from their mothers and fathers' suffocation... and there are some that don't understand what they could or pick to do. and if there isn't any encouragement different than stepping right into a sturdy college... properly he completed that i meant.. supposedly VA tech is a sturdy college, confusing to get in? yup, he completed what they emotionally beat into him....

I know that in some Asian societies it is a very shameful thing for a son to do such a horrible thing. They are probably just in total shock and can't believe what has happened. They are mourning parents and I am glad that the media has given them space.
They are probably also afraid of retaliation and hatred.
Let us all pray for them.

I was watchin the news thismorning and they said that the parents have been located, and that they are in/around washington dc. The reporter said they they wont be able to make a direct statement due to language barriers, but the sister that goes to princeton may be willing to making a statement sometime today

why is it important for the parents to speak out about this? They didn't do anything wrong. Get over yourself...this is a huge shock and horrible tragedy for them. You don't think they aren't suffering because it was their own son who killed 32 people?? This question in itself is so offensive and insensitive.
It was Cho's fault!! Not the parents and i feel bad for them

Great ? I feel for them if they weren't part of the blame. In his writings he talks about the rich. Not sure but, do VA students go around wearing fur coats, etc. Seems like his anger his directed to adults not students. Who was rich, and it was never enough. Maybe this horrible deed was punishing someone else????

What a question, what would you say if you were them,? sorry
we thought he was just a crazy kind of boy? or gee i wish we would have aborted him when he was a foetus?
They are in as much maybe more so including embarrassment as the other parents and friends of the victim's maybe we should show a little compassion instead of demanding hard questions , it is just the fact that their son was the perpetrator of this most Hannis act.

MSNBC and CNN have both covered the parents. There probably isn't much point in the parents making a public statement right now. My guess is htat they are still in shock and very sick about this.
