Does a silk shirt go well with linen pants?

No, they do not. Silk shirts go well with dressier pants (wool, heavy cotton). And linen pants look best with cotton shirts.

a silk shangtung would look wonderful with linen pants..as they both have slubbed material.
slubbed is when silk or linen has tiny little knots in it..it's natural.
of course silk & linen work well together..they are noth natural fibers..and lightweight.

I would seriously consider a different combination. It would probably be ok, but will almost never be better than ok. Unless you really have a thing for silk shirts, there are much better alternatives.

Sure does, if you are Don Johnson. Seriously, they do go together and they are both light summery fabrics.
