Yep why not.....here it is April....give it to him....we won the league championship and then took it all in the World Series..........Just a few weeks into the season.....let it play out........the MVP has to be the one player that that team would have gotten no where without him......I could make a case for Kobe getting it this year in the NBA....where would the Lakers be without him?......NO WHERE!!......the Mavericks would still win without Nowitzki........I can not or ever will like the man (Kobe)....but he gets them there more then Nowitzki.....wait until in the end and use the same rule to vote for your MVP.....my Yankees would still be winning without A-Rod.....but still too early....wait!!!

You can not provide this answer this early in season. Matte r of fact, you can't answer until all 162 games are played!!! You take two players who both had great years close to each other. The one on the team that finished higher in standings would influence the vote,,,,and should.

Well if he keeps his pace and hits 112 home runs then I guess he'd get my vote. However, there is over 140 games left and anything can happen.

But if the voting were done based on first month of the season alone, sure.

How about asking again when the season is just a bit farther along - like late AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!! No such awards are ever or can ever be won or lost in mid-April.

Not sure...how'd he hit in July and August? Oh, that's right the season just started... Ask again later... Right now, anything could happen.
