And before I get any "because he sucks" answers, I'll go ahead and tell you you're wrong in that Hicks is selling out venues holding 1000-2000 people while Daughtry, who by the way is all over the radio, is only playing in venues holding 100-200 people.

Does this make sense to anyone?

I'm not sure why his songs aren't playing everywhere. He's an excellent singer and performer. He obviously deserved the title of AMERICAN IDOL! His concerts are totally fun to be at. He is always putting his 100% into his performances and pleasing his fans by doing this. Another incredible quality I see in him is that he's super humble and very caring.

Not all of Chris's venues are small he recently played at Universal studios in Disney in Orlando and they had their biggest crowd ever there over 40 Thousand ......... Taylor isn't selling out all his venues honestly go to ticketmaster and check for yourself when they say There are still great seats avail I guess that means not sold out right? Chris chose to play smaller venues at first then when he does the fall tour he is playing in arenas. HE won't have a problem selling out.
Chris and Taylor are 2 different Genres Chris is rock/pop which is huge. He is doing awesome. Taylors genre is different he is doing good but will eventually be doing better! They are both having the time of their lives right now.
And facts are wrong on your part Chris's venues are actual more in the 200 to 350 range not 100. Anywho Taylor is being played on some AC radio stations

No, he is not selling out all of his venues and Chris is. Does it matter how large? His album went double platinum, I'd say thats real good. Taylor is ok, but I think he would have done better to go with blues exclusively. I think he was good when he did some hardcore blues tunes. I guess its all about what style suit you the most. Most of the Idol finalists have something to offer for somebody out there, thats how they were finalists!

I'm really sorry but that is the reason, he isnt an idol, he doesnt have the pizzaz it takes. DAughtry is selling out smaller arenas because that is the rock scene.
and Hick's isnt selling out. Hes really just riding this idol fame for all its worth, even tho McPhee was the more talented one, she got second. and she is actually played.
havent you notice the people that DONT WIN idol tend to do better than those that do? with the exception of kelly claskson.

Because the people who like him (mostly young kids) aren't the ones that matter to most radio stations. Kids, for the most part, are not the target audience for most radio stations. Its usually 18-35 year olds. Since most people that age don't care about Taylor Hicks, radios are not going to play him.

b/c his popularity didn't last past the Idol finale. it was a win based on him being the underdog and not much else. his music isn't marketable to the AI demographic, just b/c he got the votes at the time.

You have to pay money to get your music played on the radio. His label doesn't have enough confidence in his music to shell out the money.
