i feel really stupid, but i just got this 96 geo tracker and it didn't come with a manual or anything so i'm lost. my tracker has this little stick thing in the middle of the driver's seat and the passenger's seat. it's an automatic so it's not a gear shift. what is it and how am i supposed to use it? please help!

That would be your stick to engage the 4wheel drive. I also own a tracker so i believe the same rules apply here,when using the 4x4 you need to put the vehicle in neutral & then push the stick all the way to the top to be in 4-high. when you need to take it out of 4/wheel do the same .. N-push stick all the way down .

Don't feel stupid those are probably just the levers that lock and unlock the seats so you can move them forward and backward. If I remember right those Geo Tracker's are just 2 doors so you have to move the seats forward for passengers to get into the back seat. Go to Auto Zone and buy a book for $19.95. Good luck.

PRNDL. These letters stand for Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive and Low. Park is when you're parked and locks the transmission, Reverse is backwards, Neutral is when you unlock the gears. Drive is the usual driving gear and Low is when you need more power to the wheels. Not that often will you need low. Get a manual for this truck at www.helminc.com
