The clutch master cylinder is leaking and the clutch pedal feels very spongy ( meaning when i put my foot down on the clutch, it either comes back to the normal position very slow or it doesnt come back period.

I bought a new clutch master cylinder and i want to replace it. However, I do not want to get any of the old darkish hydraulic fluid in touch with the new clutch master cylinder

(a) How do i get all the clutch fluid out of the system. Please note that I have located the bleeder and it is very accessable

(b) Is there anything that i should do with the new Clutch Master Cylinder before i go ahead and install it. The guy at autozone tole me that i should run some new brak fluid through it before i go ahead and instsll it. If Yes, what is the proper way to run fluid through this.

c) What is the proper way to bleed the system.

Thank you very much for your time

When you attach the clear plastic hose to the bleeder valve, why does it have to sit in clear fluid?

I think you have the idea. A> open the bleed and hook tubing to it and run it into a jar or can to keep it from getting everywhere. When that drains you can open the line on the slave cylinder and let the fluid in the line drain into the can.

To bleed the cylinder, there are 2 ways of doing it. one man and two man ways. Fill the resouvoir with the proper brake fluid and open the slave line and pump the clutch pedal running the fluid into a jar half filled with new brake fluid.
When you push the pedal the fluid in the master will force out the air in the line and you will see bubbles in the lower jar. With two guys one can be underneath to open and close the bleed valve. They open it and tell you to push on the clutch and when you reach the bottom of the stroke they can close the bleed and then you can release the brake, continue this until the fluid in the jar comes out without any bubbles.

One thing to remember is to not let the master cylinder get low on fluid or you will be pumping more air into the system and have to start over. good luck

You got it right, remove as much of the old fluid. After you install the new part, open the bleeder valve and attach a clear plastic hose to it. Submerge the other end in a jar with clean brake fluid. Pump this several times until the air is out, close the valve and you're done. Don't use the fluid that has run intl the jar.

he has been somehow clutch he was clutch in the year they went to the nba finals i think it was 07 i remember him driving to the basket late in games and last year he played really good and so far this year he has played pretty good too and for me clutch is not just making last time shots is making shots at important moments of the game which he did tonight and has done that being said i still wouldn't trust him to take a jumper at a last second of the game because he still needs to improve that part of his game but he can drive to the basket and score at ease. Lebron is better then kobe right now but Kobe is still the best closer
