i am using a 2meg connection any tips if i could speed it up

It depends on how many people are uploading and how fast they are doing so. I would say within a week if you get around 100K/s. Torrents of that size are rarely seeded well so it could take a while.
I personally would dump azeureus and get utorrent, but that's just me.

That depends on the file you are downloading. If it has enough peers/seeds/downloaders and they are uploading with enough bandwidth, the fastest you can go I think is around 8 hours. Ideally, it should be completed within 10-12 hours.

I have a 1.5MB connection and to download a 700MB movie usually take around 8=10 hours overnight using Azureus

first off - I would not use any peer2peer softwear at all these programs leave your computer open for attack
second 7 gig file man what is it you are downloading
