anyone can change their name anytime as long as you meet the requirements. Need paperwork from courthouse.

What do you mean by "drop"? It doesn't matter if she is a widow or not, any woman can opt out of using her husband's name at any time. He doesn't have to be deceased.

If divorced women can take back their maiden name I don't see why a widow couldn't also. You will need to check with an attorney.

You can change your name to anything you like by filing a name change with the courts... last i heard it was over $400, and it could be way more by now.

You will also have to remember to change your name on other records -- social security, bank account, driver's license, house deed, and etc.

Anyone is able to do anything they choose....as long it doesnt affect others........That includes changing your name if you so choose.

yes, you can get any name changed legally, it might cost money though.....
