No.... it's under rated which is why so many people are living together out of wed lock and our society is such a mess.

OVERRATED! You've got to be kidding. If marriage was overrated and people respected marriage the way they should, then the world would be wonderful place.
If couples would get married for all the right reasons, have their children at the right time and then raise those children with happily married parents, that would be wonderful, because then children become adults and they would know the right way to get married and make it happen all over again! The only way it was ever suppose to happen.
If you could even think that marriage is overrated, then you obviously don't know what marriage is. Oh, but I'm certain that you know what divorce is?. I know you've seen alot of that.
You could only wish that marriage was overrated.

Marriage isn't marriage anymore its more like a partnership. Set up with agreements / prenups. Back in the days of our parents and grandparents a marriage was a big event it was a life long choice and they took time to decide. Now a days they happen over night and fall apart just as fast. We've become so busy with work and personal goals that many have forgot what a true marriage is. Is it over rated i don't think so if you have the right partner. And thats the key finding the right person.

depends. If you are intrested in having a long term relationship taht you beleive will last forever, and you grew up under traditional trerms then its not overrated, although divorce rate is high because people rush into marriage and use it to try and fix problems.

Marriage is a subject that should be seriously researched, before making a LIFETIME commitment.
I would say underrated.

It's not overrated, in my humble opinion. Some people have a tendency to want to have their cake and eat it, too.

No...it's way underrated. The biggest problem is not marriage, it's the lack of commitment going into it.

Marriage is neither over rated, or under rated. Nor is it for e/one. It's simply what one prefers, and what they make of it.

No. It is the most special relationship in the world. You ought to try it when you are ready to commit to someone for life b/c it's for life.

I THINK ITS COULD NEVER BE OVER RATED BUT I DO THINK PPL DONT RESCEPT THE VOWS THEY TOOK OR THERE WOULDNT BE SO MANY DIVORCES AND I THINK PPL THINK THAT LIVING TOGETHR IS THE SAME BUT ITS NOT NOT BY THE EYES OF THE LAW OR OF GOD! WHEN YOU MARRY IT SHOULD BE BECAUSE YOU LOVE THE OTHER PERSON SO MUCH THAT YOU WITH HONOR THE VOWS YOU TOOK
