In all the searching I've done before posting here,it seems like we'd have to stay a minimum of 2 nights. Here's my criteria:2 adults and 1 child(5 years old),1 night stay, preferably close enough to walk(we can walk several blocks but not like a mile;anything we have to drive and find parking in town is out) to Mallory Square and no more than $200 a night. Please try to be more specific than saying things like "Go to Expedia or Travelocity,etc.,etc." Also,if you can throw in your suggestions as to where to get good Key Lime Pie,that would be cool;I know that people's ideas of what's good are subjective but we can check out a few places. Also, can you post a direct link to the Hemingway House(so I can check out when they're open and cost of getting in) because I can't seem to find it for some reason!!! :( :(;that's where we'd like to go besides Mallory Square, especially my daughter since she loves cats. If you can think of anything else we can fit in on our second day, great!!!

OK, the best place to stay where you are close to Duval is the Best Western Hibiscus on United Street, one block from Duval Street, but it is about a mile from Mallory Square and a block from the Southern Most Point.. Staying close to Mallory or on Duval Street for that matter can get quite expensive. Cabs are readily available and a taxi from the Best Western to Mallory will only run you about 7-8 dollars. Now for the Key Lime pie, the Blonde Giraffe has the best, they have a shop right on Duval Street and it is great. Now for Papa's House, I will post the link as well as a general key West link. Have fun.
