Getting old isn't for sissies, that is for sure. On the other hand, being OLDER (out lived decisions/experiencing rethinking) has it's advantages. Any day above ground is better then below it.

I'm 55, but in my mind I'm still 30. Don't tell anyone but when a young good looking guy walks by, I enjoy the view, I just don't show it! I'm totally in love with my husband and love being with him. I have to hold my self back a lot though and 'act' my age.But sometimes I do things that surprises even me.That's when I'm totally myself and am totally comfortable. You know, putting feet up on the dash while we're traveling. Climbing a tree to look inside a nest. Wishing I could eat 'mushrooms' again while hiking in a beautiful forest, but now I'm more conscious about what I eat. My hands hurt in the morning but by keeping them active all day by evening I've forgotten about it.I'm a bit slow mentally sometimes, but what's the hurry? It only bothers my kids when I pause before I take action. I wish I had someplace to go dancing because I loved it in my youth. To Rock n Roll of course but would I look silly? It shouldn't matter I know.....so I dance all over the place when I'm home alone!Whats depressing is that when I take a couple shots of Tequila ,I get tired now, I HATE it when that happens!!

A very content 63, I am probably living easier now than I ever have.
Probably the thing I miss the most is the attention I got from the ladies when I was in my 20's and up till my middle forties.
But I have a lot less headaches without them. Ha! Ha!
At least my cat loves me.

I'm 58 and retired and loving it. I feel about the same as I did when I was younger. Having faced almost certain death 2 1/2 years ago...I now live each day as a gift...

With age comes maturity, less worries, ie the kids are grown and hopefully gone, you're established finance wise and can pretty much do what you want.......so if your health is good, its a great time in life ! Remember, each day is a gift to us so enjoy it !

This is the best time of my life. My house is paid for, I'm retired and I can do ANYTHING I want to, without having to explain, worry about paying for it and having to take time off from work to do it!!!
All you have to do is plan well & it can happen!!
