It's not racist. The AIDS disease is not a race so calling it racism is incorrect.
I see no problem in a country protecting it's own from diseased individuals. Thank God, finally, someone is standing up for something good without fearing to be "politically incorrect"! I have complete respect for Australia now.

No this is not racist but it does discriminate between the sick and the healthy. AIDS is a problem which is afflicting the white, black, brown and far eastern races. Australia are probably considering the cost in health care that AIDS results in. Thank God we in Britain have not come up with such a ruling. The only premise should be, have we room for More immigrants and are there houses and jobs available to them which do not burden the indigenous population.

I don't think it's racist, because it has nothing to do with race. However, it sounds like Australia is trying to protect itself from a possible health problem, though I'm sure that there are already some Australians who have HIV and AIDS.

The best news that I have heard today, mate.
Other than the unfortunate few that have received infected blood, this disease is a case of self inflicted injury and no sane government would accept the burden of these pox ridden immigrants.

How is that racist? Racism is against a race, and as aids is non-specific to any race, then no.

no its not racist, people with aids are not a race. Its discrimination though. Australia is a great safe country, and i normally agree with what they do, ie not allowing people with criminal records. if britain did the same, this country would not be going down the crapper.

no def not becuause in Australia most people are white it is just precautionary as many people in the world toay have the disease just look at Africa every one practically is exposed to it every single day. They are doing the right but sort of mean thing by not allowing AIDS patients into their country.

Don't be ridiculous, what's race got to do with AIDS?
People of all races get AIDS.
Good on the Aussies, they have the backbone to stand up to the PC crowd, the UK lefty Labour government doesn't.

Sounds like a bloody good idea to me.
The U.K. has accepted disease ridden foreigners since Bliar came in. Now these same people are draining the resources that tax-payers have had to stump up for.
Good on you Australia..
