I was wondering where the best possible viewing site would be from above to get pictures of the site? I want to pay my respects, and also have these to someday pass on to my children to show them what happened because it will be in their history books. I'm going to NYC in a few days, thank you.

when i lived in new york the best pictures came from the empire state building

i'd also check the google statalite map online for current pictures http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl&q=

or http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl&q=

type in WORLD TRADE CENTER
make sure you select the statlite viewing
i went to the trade center (after math) by accident leaving the empire state building i headed to the left of the building and ran into it by accident.

it was real bad during that time they were still clearing it out a few months after the attacks too but the empire building is not far at all i walked there and seen the 6 foot tall fenses covered in that black plastic from people looking in at the distruction or thevies
