it jsut stopped functioning.....and my icons have all of a sudden lost their images and functioning.....i cant click on anything.....

what is this? how do i fix it?

OK!!! since the last two were canned answers that by far are not wrong. They fail to mention that after you reboot keep tapping the F8 key while it reboots. Once in safe mode only progams necessary to run the comp will start. Then run all of your anti-virus and spyware cleaners. Always remember you are the one in charge of your comp and ultimately you have the "I win" button. Thats right just turn it off and you win hands down.

I'm not an expert but it sounds like your computer is frozen. Try ctl + alt+ del to restart your computer. If that doesn't work you'll have to shut it off with the power button. Give it a second then turn it back on. If everything is ok then you may want to do a virus scan. If your pc is still acting up then you should speak to someone at the company that you purchased it from for tech support. Good Luck

It could be anything. Rule 1. Reboot.

I would turn off all power completely to clear memory - unplug from the wall or turn off power strip. Wait a minute then turn it back on.
