Today in the news section of yahoo they had the story on, "Supreme Court Upholds Ban on Abortion Procedure"...can someone tell me what medical conditions the doctors are refering to where it "would be nessasary ", in their words, to preform such a procedure?

the thing that confuses me most about the whole procedure is, if its done because the mothers life would be in danger, 1) y not just deliver the baby or if the child cant be saved for whatever reason, 2) why such a barbaric procedure to kill it, y not a normal abortion or putting the child to sleep somehow so it doesnt suffer??? Im not putting anyone down for their stance on the issue, I just wish someone could tell me why doctors choose this methode over a more humane way?

Some pro-abortion people use the term "health of the mother" to hide behind. You see, there is quite a difference between "life of the mother" and "health of the mother". A partial birth abortion is actually riskier to the mother than delivering. The baby must first be turned to a breach position and pulled most of the way out feet first. That is far more dangerous to the mother than a c-section or even a normal delivery.
They use things like "mental" health of the mother to justify it. As in she just isn't mentally ready to have a child. They fail to explain why it took her 9 months to decide that or why she could not just give the child up. Or, for that matter, what the effect of killing her baby might have on her mental health in the future.

there are a few medical conditions that makes abortion necessary and legal.
1. when a woman has part of the fetus aborted and only some portions of the fetus are still stuck to the uterus ( i know, this sounds quite gruesome )
2. when the fetus has passed away, with no heart beat or activity detected.
3. when the fetus is actually a large mass of cells that are rapidly dividing and growing, but not to any form. just a mass of cells. its called molar pregnancy.
4. when continuation of the pregnancy is a high risk to the mothers health. such as causing her severe heart failure or uncontrollable rise in her blood pressure which may lead to fits, endangering the life of the mother and her child.
these are a few that i can think of now. but im sure there are more. hope this helps
on a personal note, i think abortions should be legalized for rape victims, if the mother wishes to terminate this unnatural pregnancy.

I'm pretty sure that when you have a miscarriage and not all of the fetus has come through they need to preform a dnc which is done at abortion clinics and is basically the same procedure but the baby was dead before this is needed.

i do no longer think of maximum human beings comprehend what it relatively is. And to those that do no longer: Partial beginning abortion is whilst the beginning actually happens. the new child's head is out. and then a surgical hammer is used to crack the new child's cranium. It gets actual undesirable whilst the new child nonetheless keeps to respire after the cranium crack. that's what very almost absolutely everyone, whilst they comprehend what it relatively is, has a concern with. previous due term abortion and lifeless or diseased fetus extraction are completely distinctive words used to purpose and confuse the priority. are you able to suspect medical doctors have actually, and are literally in some places, appearing all those abortions? Oh my God----i think queasy!

A therapeutic abortion would be one that a doctor must perform in order to save the mother's life. I had a friend who got pregnant and she was told the baby died inside of her but she did not miscarry so the doctor had to perform a therapeutic abortion on her.

I don't think it would ever be "medically necessary" to perform a partial birth abortion. The baby could be delivered if the mother's life was in danger.

rape is one reason they may perform an abortion
but the most is if the mother or baby would die during the pregnancy or birth then an abortion would be necessary

For instance if somone couldn't take care of the child, physically or mentally. Or if it was a rape victim. Or the child would be coming out with a disability.....I don't know, just assuming.....
