Which era do you think would be America's medieval times?

The Gilded Age, or the late-1800s. This was an age of individuals gaining fabulous wealth and a good many of them built castle-like houses. For them life was grand and they used and abused the peasants, the workers/immigrants. For the poor, however, this was a terrible time of hard work and little gain, just like medieval Europe.
