we say 'I' always when we refer ourselves. Is it body, mind or Self within?

It definitely isn't body. It is somewhat mind. Mostly self. Some other philosophists call it ego (i am not talking about the dictionary meaning of the word ego).

If you search for Ramana (Ramana Maharshi, if you have to locate this personality easily) in google, you might find some good insights on your question. Unless you have already heard about Ramana and his philosophy.

And there is Eckhard Tolle. The one with a philosophy of how a thinker is not who he is (basically contradicting "I think. Therefore I am"), further deviating the self from the true self - the thinking part of the brain/self, he claims isn't the true self either - as I understand his philosophy.

The distinctions between body, mind, and "self within" are not real, but only customs of language and culture.

My name is Sharad.

I am not too old.

I is a pronoun used to stop using Sharad in each sentence.

The "I" you are referring to in your question is a pronoun that represents the name of the body of the person and has hardly anything to do with the "I" in philosophy.

The mind controls the body which dictates our actions controls our verbal skills and draws conclusions. The answer can only be the mind

Body, mind, and self.

Until one discovers the True Self. It's not like we don't know, everyone has that TS, but not everyone feels it yet. When you can feel your TS, then body, mind, and self become secondary issues.

Everything has beauty in it, but not everyone sees it.....Confucius.

Good luck!

its all ...when yourself is put ahead of other selfs(ur frds, family, peers, etc). "I" is originated..whether it is taking care of my body, my mind and my self!
They say when you use enough of "I" in writings or sayings or thoughts..you are Egoist or worse form of it, Why? you put yourself first than anything else in this world
