My boss of 6 months has never taken any interest in what I do all day with my time which I mostly spend on here. Her desk faces mine and sometimes I wonder what she thinks I'm doing. I'm leaving here on Friday to go back to a job that I really liked so even if she finds out, she can hardly sack me and I won't even need a reference!!!!

To be brutal, she probably doesn't care any more as you are leaving. I imagine she knows you're not producing a huge amount of work but has decided to let it go and focus on the new person who will replace you.

Maybe she's doing the same - maybe you've been answering her questions. Maybe I'm your boss? - I can't see the other computer in my office - who knows what she's up to?
