its really really sad. makes me so sad...
i dont like how the reporters are up on everyone like crazy. yesterday one reporter asked a parent "how would you feel if you heard you child had been shot?" WHAT THE HECK! i would have slapped her in the face and said.... yeah? 1000 times worse than that!
i think its so horrible and selfish of this asian guy to do that. i guess he just shot the first two and then decided... well hes gonna die or go to jail so why not make a name for himself... even if a bad one...
i think its wrong that they say the school should have done more. of course its easy to say that now after its happened, but no one can say unless they were there. i mean if i were in class and someone came and shot my professer would i have jumped on him and attacked him or would i hide under my desk hoping he wouldnt see me? i just dont know. i would have been scared and everyone was. they should stop criticizing the school, they are going through enough already.
that kid was just mental and very sick minded... he was going to do something bad no matter what and he would have found a way to do it no matter what anyone did.
the other sad part is that now the media will probably go after the shooters family... cause hes dead they take it out on his family. which really isnt fair at all... it would be humiliating to be them. to be known as the parents or the sister of the kid who killed 32 innocent people...
i pray for everyone who is affected... the shooters family, the victims, and especially their families and friends. theyre in our thought and prayer.

I think people need to get information from more sources on this topic…many people only listen to the main networks…those networks are regulated to the point that the information is either the same all day or its not reliable…what the haven’t said about the shooter are two things…1. He wrote “Ishmael's Axe” one of his arms…(why)…2. Those networks reported that he knew the first girl that was found…(love spat)…when in reality he had never known her…while this was a tragedy…it was also something that could have been and should have been avoided…given his mental history…another thing…we as tax payers are paying more in taxes for better security…i.e.…Police…Intelligence…Homeland Security…right…? Well, what happened…?

It is really, really sad and scary. The reason why scary is because I am a SR in college (Psych Major) and we have talked in class about this in Juve Delinquency about how a college shooting would be so much worse and sad than a high school because of the openess of college campuses. You have thousands of students, so anonymity is high (unless they are your friend, bf/gf, or in sports/greek org. with you). Second, unlike HS, the campuses are large and sprawling. It is not the main building the gym the football field and the ROTC building in most cases. At my school we have 15 different buildings where people are. As a result, the security push that people want (which I agree with most of the time) is nearly impossible. Add in that the colleges are usually in small towns right in the middle of town and are adjacent to residential areas, it isn't like they could put up security check stops at the main entrances like they had in LA (I was an army brat so I have been everywhere). It is just a really really sad situation that I am saddened to see actually happened. We had a bomb scare last yr on our campus and their LOCKDOWN stuff was poor. Someone put a bunch of bombs in the school (in diff. buildings because two whole frats got kicked out for fighting and stuff at school 2 weeks before graduation) and we were forced to stand in the courtyard for hours with our classes ONLY ABOUT 30yds from the buildings. I mean there were kids scattered all around the buildings, and THANKFULLY nothing happened, but with the science building having all of those chemicals, for example (not even adding in shrapnul and stuff from the building itself) there would have been 100s dead from that. I really can empathize with the Va Tech kids. While our situation was NOTHING compared to theirs, I understand what it is like to see your sense of innocence in college be ruined by another kid.

I think students need self-defense classes. The first five or six students shot had no chance, but those who did have time to realize what was happening COULD have ambushed the guy when he entered their classroom.
Passengers on airplanes have learned NOT to be passive when someone threatens them. Students also need to learn this. Thrown books, desks, tripping, clubbing, and even punching would have saved lives.

What this bloodbath shows is that one and all weapons might desire to be confiscated.you do no longer want a Gun,purely food, water, and seem after.how many situations does a school shooting might desire to ensue until eventually you empty headed human beings comprehend this.usa is a Gun lifestyle the place in video clips the Hero shoots the undesirable adult males. The regulations might desire to get replaced to restrict all weapons as quickly as and for all.maybe the United international locations,NATO,China, and the ecu Union might desire to invade and Disarm usa for it is own secure practices?

I think it was a national tragedy--I don't think I've felt quite so down since 9/11.
