The distance from Oakland to Yosemite Valley is approximately 175 miles (about 3 hours) via the Big Oak Flat Road (hwy 120). If you go through Merced and hwy 140 the distance is approximately 190 miles and will take about 3 hours and 15 minutes. Drive times do not include stops.

There is an advisory for hwy 140 as follows:
