Just hoping someone out there has an answer. When I turn on a faucet at home there is sometimes a delay before water comes out. Other times the water flow starts, then it seems like air is forced through and water goes everywhere. Finally water may spurt out, then nothing for a few seconds, and then the flow resumes.

I am lost on this one and would greatly appreciate any help.

If you have a well, check the pump. you could have a leak or it could be malfunctioning. IF on city water, lol, no telling.

I will also assume your on a well. Sounds to me like its time for a new pressure tank and switch. Most pressure tanks when they waterlog are unrepairable because the bladders fail. easy way to check this is to push on your pressure tank if it feels full, its junk. Your average pressure tank only holds about 5-8 gallons of water the rest is captive air.

If a well and you have a pressure tank, could be it needs to be drained and recharged. They get water logged and need the air cushion reestablished.

Is this just from one faucet or throughout the house?
