An old person is the one who gives up on trying new things and being curious. I have a friend who is 65 and he's mentally and physically younger than most 40-year olds. A middle-aged person is the one who settles down and criticizes childish and fun behavior. Years of life have nothing to do with it.

Depends on the person...80 could be old....but if an 80 year old acts like a 60 year old......
Middle age would be in the late 40's

Middle age is about 45, old is 60 and over. But some people seem younger than others. I never want to get old. I doubt I'll live past 30 - I've got tragedy written all over me.

Well old to me is about 75/80, middle age is 40s, because people always seem younger than they really are these days. You get tons of 40 and 50 year olds going clubbing now, and thats not acting old is it. Most people dont seem to slow down in life till they reach about 75.
