Since cricket is a game of uncertainties, nothing can be predicted for sure about the outcome of a tournament in advance.
As it stands now Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zeland and South Africa will have a chance to win the world cup. I strongly feel that either New Zelland and South Africa will win the world cup this time as these countries have never won any world cup.

Sri Lanka has a very good chance to win this world cup.
They have come to play the semi finals with a good strategic plan. So far so good.
They will have the best weapons in the semi agaist the New sealand and It's hard to beat with such a talent.
On the other hand South africans have become the favourites in their semi final against Aussies after they beat england with stunning performance.
My prediction that Sri Lanka will meet South Africans in the finals.
Sri Lanaka be the winners.

To be honest, it will be won by Aussies! I would love to see South Africa win it though. But should they play Aussies in the semis, as it seems likely to happen, I don't see them progressing any further. Should the Proteas win against Aussies and Sri Lanka beat New Zealand, which is possible - then a South Africa/ Sri Lanka Final is possible. Should it happen like this, then South Africa are favourates.
However, the final will be between Sri Lanka and Australia - and the favorites to win are od course Aussies.

Sri Lanka. The are saving their player for the ultimate battle. They have a plan. They are going ot win, somehow.
South Africa and New Zealand have succumbed to Sri Lanka before, and they will have no chance. Its going to be Australia or Sri Lanka at the end.

All the four semi-finalists have a potential to win the world cup as they all are playing better cricket at the moment
Australians are proffesionals and they are still unbeaten and the moral is very high
Kiwis are in form and magical Bond is ruthless on his day
Sri Lankans have the best balanced bowling attack but the batting at the top and the middle still not convincing, but with sheer talent
South africans are dangerous on their day but are not consistent in winning
Any way cricket is a game with uncertainity and needs some luck as well
So any of the four can win it
The one who plays better cricket on the given day will go to the finals and at the finals the same phenomenon will play
For the spirit of the game we will wish that we will be able see two competitive and exciting semis and a thrilling final

Sri Lanka has gud chance cause they have players with fire in them, they will rip off any team which comes their way in winning World Cup.
Australia, they are fire, they are unbeatable, they are the godfather of cricket...
New Zealand, have potential to beat Sri Lanka, Australia, so big threat...
these are the three team which has alll 50-50 chances in winning world cup.
But I will say, Australia has a good chance of winning their hatrick world cup.

It is difficult to answer but still Australia has 90 % of chance to win the ICC world cup 2007.
