If I need to buy something, and I can't pay with a business check or I don't have enough in my business account, is it wise to pay for it with the debit card from my personal checking account and then "paying my self back" from my business account?

If this is a sole ownership business, and very small. the use of your personal CC isn't a big deal. If you already have seperate bank accounts for your business, then the answer is a big NO.

Do your best at keep thing separate. Pay or INVEST from your personal account to your business account then buy what you need.

If you can show a check going in then back out latter for this personal loan you can claim the loan from your business income and even some interest.

You can, but if your business goes under - then you are left holding the Bills and not the cash to pay them.
