Depends what you want to do with it. Steak doesn't have to be well done, while chicken does, but then you have to keep an eye on the steak if you're grilling it to make sure it's not overdone. At the same time, you could toss a whole chicken in the oven, set a meat thermometer with alarm and it will let you know when it's done

They are both easy to cook. chicken ( boneless, skinless breast ) can be marinated in Italian salad dressing for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, then baked at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
Steak can be grilled or broiled for about 8 to 10 minutes per side. fry some onions and mushrooms to put over the steak.
these are only two easy receipes of very many.
Then there is steak tar-tar and chicken tar-tar

Steak is real easy
chicken burns easy but there are alot of ways to prepare it that are easy.
Neither is easier than the other they take about the same prep and cook time. Only difference is price and method of preperation

That depends on what your cooking! Oven roasting chicken is the easest. Just chuck a few chicken breasts in the oven for 20-25 mins, at 220 or gas mark 7 and there you go. grilling or frying is quicker, but you have to pay attention and, god forbid, turn the meat over.....

Steak, because you can cook it different temps, with chicken it needs to be done, but not too done, then it becomes dry.

I say chicken, steak you have to watch closely to get the right temp and if it's overcooked then you're screwed. If you overcook chicken you can just throw some sauce on it and it'll be fine.
