You ask the administrator to install it for you. If it's something you actually need, there shouldn't be a problem. If it's a game, or something unnecessary, the administrator will be quite angry at you for wasting his or her time.

That's the whole point of the administrative account. To keep people from installing sw they aren't authorized to on a machine that doesn't belong to them (i.e. your company owns it, not you)

if its at work you cant. if its your comp and some how they crazy thing happen like buying a use comp, just wipe out the whole comp and reinstall with the cd that came with the comp and make you admin... i dont know your circumstances...
