I have been around answers for a few hrs and it seems everyone is BLAMING GUNS on the horrid shooting at V Tec
Why do you not get the idea it is not GUNS that kill people, it is PEOPLE who kill people.
My question is if you blame guns explain WHY???

I agree with you 100%.
People who do not understand this are those who have ABSOLUTELY NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEMSELVES OR OTHERS who actually commit crimes and think that all fault is anything but their own.
The vast majority of those who commit crimes with firearms HAVE THOSE FIREARMS ILLEGALLY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Yes. I mean if video games/TV/whatever are the cause, then explain the Holocaust. I watch stuff like The Walking Dead, play games like GTA IV. But am I going to go out and kill someone? No. The only reason I ever would do that if it was in self defense, or saving someones life from someone like that shooter. And guns aren't the problem either, its the people. No one blamed the lightsaber when Anakin killed those children in Star Wars did they? Now I know it was a movie, but still, it sounds ridiculous to blame the tool. You're own body is a weapon.

Actually, it isn't really guns but the availability of it. Just think if there were no guns available, maybe stabbing people would take a longer time and not that many victims killed. Now if he built a bomb? How long and who would help him? Bomb components will raise a flag if bought in the same store or with the same credit card. It is hard to conceal a bomb as against a handgun. Mind you he had two with him. Yes we need guns BUT it should be in the right hands and NOT for anyone else. Especially for students.

really? guns don't jump downs from their cabinets or safe boxes in the night to wreak havoc? Well, you learn something new everyday. Who's blaming guns? I know they don't walk and shoot on their own.... maybe people are so negative towards gun because they hold power that allows people to take life... they are a catalyst for death and injury... this is prob why some people dislike guns.

I agree:
Did the car kill someone or did the drunk driver do it?
Did the knife stab someone or did the person wielding the knife do it?
Did the baseball bat bludgeon the person to death or did the person swinging the bat do it?
Did the poison hop into the person's drink or did someone pour into the persons drink?
People kill people. Well stated.

It definately is not accepted by today's society to kill people.... but **** that...
Throughout history wars and battles have shaped the way our world is.
We would be no where if it wasn't for fighting
where would we be without guns?
without bombs?
who knows and I don't really know where to begin speculating.
killing people sucks but it has been and always will be part of life. people are going to have reasons to kill people and they are going to do it.
Just be thankful you weren't a victim. Mourn your dead, and avenge them if you feel necessary.

i get ur point but i think if you have a gun you would most likely use it when you involved in trouble and kill someone but when you don't have a gun and involved in the same trouble you couldn't be able to kill this one

incase u havent read the article he was on anti-depressants..
people dont just walk around killing people for no reason, unless they are psycotic!!
