yes. it was a stupid thing i did. but now i have wax in my oven. i wiped away what i could see, then went over it again with a cloth hopefully to get what i couldn't see. i tried heating the oven a little, to melt the invisible wax a bit, then wiping again.
BUT the last time i tried using my oven, it just started smoking, and i don't want to be carbon monoxified, if ya know what i mean...
SO MY QUESTION IS how do i get wax out of my oven? would it work if i just cranked up the heat, turned on a fan and left it to clean itself? are there any products that might be helpful? thanks

The cleaning cycle in the Oven works...it will burn hot enough to vaporize the residual wax.

The oven is coated with enamel, so don't use metal, but you can trying scraping the area with a plastic scraper, such as the one for cleaning baked-on items.

A method to get wax off the carpet is to put brown paper over the wax and then heat it with an iron. It sucks the wax into the brown paper.

Remember that wax has a flash point and will catch fire!

Trying to scrape it out while cold sounds like the next thing to try.

I'd let it get cold, then scrape it off w/ a teflon pot/pan scraper.
