The Piltdown Man Hoax, where a human skull was found
with an Orang Utan Jawbone in an English Quarry.
Artificially aged / colored and doctored.
The most prominent British scientist fell for it, it fitted so nicely
with the Empire, and British superiority.
After all God was already declared a Brit, so why not the
oldest ever found human.
Years later (Science got better), it proved to be a forgery.
Reputations were ruined, fingers pointed, many suspects
were around but nobody ever proved who did it.

The Holy Grail. Did it exist? What is it really? If it is the cup, where did it end up? Did it have any particular significance to the ones around Jesus? Did the disciples 'collect' items that were important to Jesus and history or were they too lost in themselves and their own mission?
