Most domestic models don't have drain plugs, but I am glad my Toyotas and Subarus have them.

Are you sure you didn't overfill it. Some auto trannies have a spillover port if they get too full.

I don't think it has one.

If I am correct, and you want to change the transmission fluid, you would have to drop the transmission pan and then replace it with a new gasket. You should also know that most of your fluid will end up trapped in your torque converter no matter what you do. So you can't change the fluid the way you change the engine oil. This is perhaps a stupid design, but that is the way it is.

I don't have your car's manual in front of me, but I still don't think it has a transmission drain plug. It could be leaking fluid from the transmission pan gasket, cooling line, or some other place. If you had an idea of the general area that the fluid was leaking from, I could better guess the problem. I would suspect that many shops would diagnose the problem for free.

something doesn't soud right. did you remove the plug to drain the fluid recently and not get it tight? I doubt your car even has a drain plug for the transmission. I'm thinking you either have some one messing with you or you have a more serious problem

Is that a manual trans? It is located on the differential of the trans top side, white in color. Called a fill plug or dipstick. Only about 3 inches long. Automatic trans has a red handle just behind the engine. Also called a dipstick. About 24 inches long.

Some people install plugs in their transmission pans, but it's kinda dumb. When you change fluid you need to pull the pan, clean it out and change the filter anyhow.
