This isn't me. Frankly I would NEVER trade Santana unless I could get Pujols in return. I'm just curious how many would make this trade. It's been accepted in one of my leagues (H2H, total points wins the week) and I'm having a tough time deciding what to do. Part of me wants to place a veto vote on it, another part wants to just ignore it and let it go. I keep thinking ...... vetoing a trade based on another guys stupidity isn't really right.

If you could see his team .. outside of Santana ,Schilling and Nathan, he's got absolutely nothing!! It's a 6 keeper league! This is another reason I contemplated a veto. It's already a barren team and he's just making it worse, instead of improving it.

Trying to get Schilling out of him now. Hoping a 2 (scrubs) for 1 will light up his eyes. Don't know why I didn't think of that earlier, thanks for the idea lmao

Ummm geniuses ...... READ the ENTIRE question/message. I said this is NOT my deal. I would NEVER trade away Santana. I can only WISH that I had Santana in this league.

A terribly unbalanced trade, but not one worthy of a veto in any league. Realistically, Beckett is performing very well (better than Santana at the moment), and Thome is a huge upgrade over Matthews. But any halfway decent player knows that by season's end, Santana will be better than Beckett by leaps and bounds. That's precisely what makes it a dumb trade. This is obviously what you picked up on.

That said, vetoes are reserved for cases of collusion or trades that are detrimental to the league. This is not one of those. There is an argument (a really bad one) to be made for taking Beckett and Thome. Like you said, vetoeing based on stupidity is not right.

That said, start trying to trade with that guy NOW.

I belive Matthews is a better fantasy baseball player then Thome. Santana is clearly better than Beckett. But Beckett's performance lately is amazing. Better then Santan's. Santana will end up with better #'s.

I'm totally against vetoing trades because it really isn't u're decision if u r the commissioner. They're the ones that accepted and wanted to do the trade.

I wouldn't veto if I were u. UnFaIr!>?

I would not do this deal, Santana will get you alot of wins, K's, and a low era. Gary Matthews Jr is speedy and will be on base alot. Thome is always subject to get hurt, and Josh Beckett is nowhere near as dominant as Santana. Don't do the trade, it will hurt your pitching staff, endanger your lineup, and strenghten the other team.

True. Lopsided deal, but not worthy of a veto by the league.
