Cortected:

Never buy a Korean piano, especially Young Chang. This is NOT racial... The facts are they are made poorly when considering the keyboards warp within five or ten years. The construction is shoddy, though they look great..

Go with established brands, such as Steinway, Mason and Hamlin, and Kranich and Bach. Bring along a technicians who can tell you'll have to restore the insides.. Usually, if a piano is 30-40 years old or olde, glues dry up, wood sometimes loses it's natural oils within and gets brittle, the soundboard can crack, hammers get worn, flanges break, etc..

Further info, go ogle Vincent Izzo's Piano Gallery. They only sell refurbished pianos, and their site of you go ogle can give ideas.

I would do some research on the internet and talk to professionals at a music store that specialize in pianos. Sometimes, the best place to by a good, used piano is at public auctions or from a music store that sells used instruments. Good luck with your research...it will be the best in helping you make the best choice when you purchase your piano.

Check your local classified ads. The best way to tell if they are in good shape, is to ask if you can look and play the piano before you buy it. You should be able to learn twinkle twinkle before you buy a piano used. It will help you hear improper notes though each octave.
