um, my take on it is that if you both feel that you aren't doing anything wrong, then it's o.k.
if you're married, then a little flirting isn't wrong, but i needs to stay COMPLETELY inoccent.
i understand that my husband will meet women that will pique his interest and i will meet men that might make me blush, but if you ever feel a twinge of guilt, then it's wrong!
that's my opinion.
take care.

Pretty much. People get all randy at work, especially in the afternoon, and especially if it's hot outside! And most people do it a little, seeing as everyone wants to avoid doing what they're supposed to be doing, and so they send e-mails to each other instead.
A *little* light flirting is harmless. Full on flirting if you actually have feelings for someone and / or would do something about it isn't harmless if you're in a relationship. But a little joking around as long as you know you don't mean anything by it is fine!
Oh, and I wouldn't flirt with your boss either way. One day, they can laugh with you, the next day, they'll tell you to get on with your work.

I think as long as it between to consenting adults, and you are sure no one is going to take it the wrong way, It is fun and healthy, a way to bond. I use to do it all the time as a bartender, but some folks can take it the wrong way. But hey it worked for me when I needed it to. I would still use my ability to flirt to get what I want or need. It went along way for me. I still flirt with my boyfriend to get my way sometimes. It is fun and healthy if done in the right way. Just don't go too far.

Flirting is harmless, as long as all people involved know that it is nothing more than "harmless flirting"...
The problem is... alot of times, people may take it the wrong way. Some people read too much into it... and let themselves be mislead, etc.
Bottom line is... there is a very thin line between harmless flirting, and taking action. Unfortunately, very few people can resist the temptation of crossing that line.

One should not approach work in a light hearted way. Most of us need "work" to pay for living day to day. Light hearted flirting can lead to problems in the workplace. If you want to flirt light heartedly, why not go to clubs, etc for that.

If by flirting, you mean having rough sex straddling the water-cooler, in front of colleagues, wearing rubber, grunting and sweating like two rutting swine in the forest, then it's perfectly harmless.

I had 'innocent' flirting with a guy I worked with and ended up having sex with him. Biggest regret of my life. It seems fun at the time, but you have to live with the guilt afterwards.

Tough one. Because what may work for someone one day may totally piss them off the next and cause a HUGE deal of problems for everyone at the work place.
