Homosexuality is a choice based on an internal desire. Its been proven. Although the right wing homo agenda people would prefer you to think otherwise ... Life on earth is based on Choices ... and your choices is what you will be judged on ... By God ....

Evidence is pointing more strongly to genes that are activated by certain stress hormone exposure prenatally. *
The gene seems to key for higher sex drive in women and a higher attraction to males. Evolutionarily, this offsets the expected loss of transmission of genes by gay males. I think the studies I saw quoted an average 0.27% increase when all women and men with this gene were taken into account. Not much, but certain enough to keep the gene from vanishing from the gene pool
Since homosexuality has been seen in all mammalian life forms, psycological issues can be dismissed and I would guess so would environmental.
I must qualify what I say to the definition of homosexuality I use. I use it to mean sexual preference - aka the gender a person is sexually attracted to. Some use the term to mean who one sleeps with (primarily religious groups that consider it something that is sin).
The latter would certainly be influenced by social upbringing and social pressures. We all know of the older days when gay guys would get married but meet guys for sex on the side. Similar for black culture today (where homosexuality is seriously frowned on), and guys that are on "the down low".

some say genetic. some say recessive. some say phsychological. some say you're born that way. there is truly no straightforward or terrific answer for what motives bisexuality or homosexuality. something to be trustworthy, ought to reason it. I wasn't born bisexual, yet I fell in love with a woman. it truly is purely a complicated trait that no person will ever truly comprehend. some persons are born the way they are, and a few persons merely land up circumstances that bring about loving/charm to an identical gender.

Homosexuality has been linked to genetic factors by scientific researchers.
An October 2004 scientific research publication stated that scientists at the University of Padua have found that women tend to have more children when they inherit the same genetic factors linked to homosexuality in men. This fertility boost more than compensates for the lack of offspring fathered by gay men, and keeps the “gay” genetic factors in circulation.
Another study published in Human Genetics in February 2006 examined X chromosome inactivation in mothers of gay sons and mothers whose sons were not gay. Researchers found extreme differences between women who had gay sons and women who did not.
A Canadian university study published in June of 2006 stated that, although researchers have known for years that a man's likelihood of being gay rises with the number of older biological brothers, that the new study found that the so-called "fraternal birth order effect" persists even if gay men were raised away from their biological families.
A January 2007 report suggested to be gay you need to receive one gay gene from both parents, and that those with only one gay gene have a selective advantage because they are heterosexual but have increased style, male sex drive, charm and seductiveness towards women.

I wonder what the world would be like if we were told that being homosexual was favorable? I would say it is genetic, because society clearly makes life more difficult for those, and it wouldn't be an easy "decision" to make, regardless of enviroment. (Meaning someone wouldn't "choose" it to make their own life more difficult, unless it really felt right to them.)

The answer is both of course. People have a genetic tendency to prefer their own sex like they might genetically be shy, or tall, or puke at the taste of licorice. It is a choice however to live the lifestyle and engage in behaviour which is both risky, and socially unacceptable. In other words a man may not have a choice about liking another man's rear, but it take a concious decision to unzip each others pants and ah.. take advantage of that attraction to said behind.

While we all discriminate (with out discrimination, we couldn't have shows like American Idol) there is an active group who is trying to link this issue with racial equality. Claiming its genetic muddles the issue.
We are all born with predispositions, weather a person is predispose to be fat, lazy, drug abuser, ect, we all have the ability to change ourselves to be whom we want to in our life.
Sex is pleasurable. People are attracted to what pleasures them. It's that simple.

My personal feeling is that it is more environment than genetic.
Take any three of your close friends/reletives for example:
1.) One of you could be a potential shoplifter - but wasn't brought up that way and is too educated to go that route.- the thought doesnt even exist in his/her mind.
2.) any other doing that you can think of .................
3.) rapist...........but wasn't brought up that way..................and so on.
BUT
if you took them out of their lifestyle and put them in a circle of friends that would EG. rape, chances are that they would do it.
This is the problem with Gay and Lesbian societies - they are that circle of friends that promote this evil.
can anyone respond to this ?
