Gouramis are tropical fish, when you think tropical you think warmer weather right? There water should be around 75oF, cold water will stress them out, and cause many other health issues, not eating, not excersising, not digesting, freezing.....
I'd recomend getting a heater, and raising your tank to at least 75 no more than 78...... ps, they need about 5-8 gallons per fish

Depends on your definition of coldwater. Some gouramis can stand a fairly cool range down to about 70 or possibly a few degrees lower without ill effects. They all do much better in the mid to upper 70's though.

Gouramis are tropical fish and thus need warmer water. The ideal temperature for them to thrive is between 73-78 degrees.
