Why does Turkish government keep on falsifying things? Turks cannot show any proof which would indicate it didnt happen.
Recognize the Armenian genocide in the US and in other countries and in Turkey too as well as time is ripe for public apology from the Turkish government.

If Hitler didn't kill all Jews that doesn't mean that it was not his intention to eradicate and exterminate all Jews.
Remember the Holocaust victims and survivors. The fact that not all Armenians were massacred doesn't mean that it was not the intention of the Ottoman empire officials.
The loss of lives and property and the suffering which Armenian people endured constituted a genocide!

I put it this way if Hitler couldn't kill all Jews that doesn't mean it was not his intention to eradicate and exterminate all Jews. Armenians faced persecution as Christian minority in the Ottoman empire and Armenians were deported forcefully from their homes and women were raped and Armenians were starving and many died. It's terrible that some people shrug off by hearing about such crimes against humanity!
Sooner or later Armenian genocide will be recognized and Turkey will apologize.

Armenian Genocide did happen thats why Turkey is running around like a chicken with the head cut because they know for sure they are not going to last, they are on the last breath. Turkey says any country that accepts the Armenian Genocide they will cut all the ties diplomatically and financially and thats exactly whats going to happen. France and Germany are cooking the "turkey" for a good meal soon Uncle Sam will join.

Turkey denies the Armenian Genocide for a few reasons. Some of the top reasons being:
It will lose a lot of credibility and footing in the international community. Relationships with other nations will be strained. At the moment there is absolutely nothing to be gained politically by admitting to the mass murder. Perhaps the requirement that the EU has placed on Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide for membership might start to push things in the right direction.

Obviously there is going to be a lot of emotion from both sides on this issue but truth is not swayed by emotion. We have to take the facts that we know from IMPARTIAL sources and come to the logical conclusion based on those facts. The International community of scholars has already realized this to be a GENOCIDE. All others who look at this through emotional ties or political ramifications will not take the step to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide.

Someone mentioned that there were no facts that the Armenian Genocide occurred. I would say this person is looking at this through a set of very emotional eyes. When looking at this through impartial eyes - not Turkish and not Armenian, it is very easy to come to a conclusion that this was a Genocide.

There are many reasons why impartial scholars all over the world believe this to be the ARMENIAN GENOCIDE. Some of these reasons are:

1. In 1915 alone 142 newspaper articles just from a single newspaper called the New York Times depict mass murder of the Armenian people using words such as "mass murder" and "extermination" of the Armenian people. It also gives a count of the number of people who've died at the time the articles were written.

2. U.S. Archive of Records holds many document including a few from Foreign Ambassadors sending telegrams from Turkey depicting the atrocities and the mass killings of the Armenian people.

3. Eyewitness accounts by Genocide survivors, all of whom are well into their elderly years and have nothing to gain by lying. They recall the pain and suffering and depict in grave detail the horror of the murders they witnessed.

4. Quotes from well-known public figures of the time referring to the Armenian massacres.

5. Photos taken by Armin T. Wegner and John Elder along with their commentaries on the tortures and murders of the Armenian people.

If you look deep enough without involving emotion or national pride, you can see the truth. One parting comment: Belief is relevant to emotion but Truth remains true even if no one believes it. Do not feed your mind with what you've been hand-fed. Seek the truth for yourself from impartial sources!

Turkey does not deny but reject false accusations because:

1. Genocide is a law term, requires a court verdict! no such verdict exist in this case. 145 Turkish high ranking officers who were captured by the brits were released in 1920... Not guilty

2. Genocide term is used in massacres that aims to eradicate a group which is motivated by racial hatered and requires documentation from the accused party sources. There is not a single document showing an aim to kill or eradicate and racial hate in Ottoman turkish goverment archives. But many secret orders to maintain security and protection.

3. How many jews fought against Germany to create an idependent jew state within german borders: 0
How many armenians fought to create an armenia: answer: 200.000

4. How mand SS officers were punished by the nazi regime during holocaust because of their bad behaviour towards the jews: 0

How many Armenian officers were in Ottoman army in 1914 to 1917. Answer: more than 170

6. Did nazi regime had any Jew members in the parliment:
Answer: do you need an answer...

Did Ottoman Turkey had any Armenians in parliement in 1915: Many, many (i dont remember the number but more than 15) The ministry of forreign affairs was an Armenian, the ambassador to England was an Armenian in that time.

7. How many German villagers did jew insurgents killed? Answer: there were no jew insurgents.

How many Turkish villagers did Armenian insurgents killed? Answer: More than 500.000.

Finally: Forced reloction due to Armed rebelious activities (like joining the invading army and attacking villages when all men are in the army) is not genocide. USA did the same thing to japanese people living in US in 1945!!!!!!

Can you show any proof that it happened? No, you cannot. It was actually the Soviets that started this debate trying to retaliate Americans and Turkey during some power politics game in the 1970s. A few clever (!) politicians in California and in France grabbed this opportunity to win the votes of the Armenian Diaspora. Ever since, you have been trying (with some success) to persuade the world that it happened.
Some of you are even insulting Turks and Turkey here on Yahoo. I will not do the same. I am not a racist or a fanatic nationalist. I am a human being first, then a Cypriot Turk. I used to know some Armenians living here; lovely people. They did not hate us, we loved them.
It is your choice to plant and water seeds of hatred. My choice is planting seeds of peace, love and understanding.
In 1974, some Greek Cypriots murdered the Turkish Cypriot population of whole villages and put them in mass graves in an effort of ethnic cleansing. I am not blaming the Greek Cypriot people. Such tragic events do happen during wars. I do not hate Greeks for that. In fact, since 1994, I have been working with a lot of Greek Cypriots in an effort to bring peace to our island. We call ourselves 'citizen peacebuilders'.
However, when I read the messages of some fanatical Armenians here on Yahoo, it makes me sick and angry. Please go and fight somewhere else, not here.

Because Dear Sandy 525.000 Turkish civilians were directly butchered by your "innocent", "unarmed" grandparents. And in Turkey there are 58 mass graves discovered. Not belonging to Armenians but to Turkish villagers killed by your grand parents. Can you please name me A SINGLE MASS GRAVE site that belong to Armenians. these teritories (dar el Zor: Syria) are not in Turkish bordery now you know and they shoudl be full of bones since you claim that 1.5 milion were killed. The funny thing is accordingto to 1913 census there were 1,3 mil armenians and the allies in WWI took the number as 1.4 milion in the internetional Lousanne peace treaty.

Dont forget as Bogos Nubar pasha the head Armenian delegation in WWI said in his letter to french ambassador "150.000 armenians in the russian army and 40.000 to 50.000 fedayis (Armenian insurgent) fought the Turks"

What you should understand Sandy is that
it is not only you who grew up listening to atrocity stories". 2 people from my family was killed by your national heroes army Andranik the butcher. And my wife lost 42 from her family thanks to your other hero DRO (Darstamat Kanayan) who later asisted the Nazis with his Armenian Battalion of 8000 to 18000 Armenian volunteers.

But these losses are no way the main point of our lives. We do not construct a life based on hate and racism towards any other nation or race. I advice you the same for hate can only poison your mind...

And if you take your time and find these articles in a historical news archive in the internet. you will see why.
